Another earthquake shook Indonesia
but now the other, Eastern part of the country;
this time weaker than the 7.6 quake of Wednesday.
They are still looking for the survivors of the Wednesday quake,
but for longer than a day teams haven't found any.
Hungarian rescue teams are also at work in Indonesia.
Our reporter, Gergely Nadas is with them.
Hungarian, Slovenian, Austrian and Slovakian rescue teams
on Thursday night, at the Ferihegy airport.
More than 50 people set off to Somatra from Budapest
with lots of dogs.
The plane aboard became an unusual sight.
The back seats have been converted into a cargo area.
There were so many rescue and aid tools on board,
that the cargo containers could not hold them.
This is why they had to pack on the seats as well.
At the feet of the rescue specialists are their dogs,
all throughout the 20-hour flight.
How did the dogs manage?
Rather well.
They slept a lot.
What is the worst part of having to take dogs on such a long journey?
What do you have to pay special attention to?
Well, that they would drink, but not drink too much.
And this is Somatra, Padang airport, Saturday morning.
This is when the rescue teams arrived.
Padang is the city which has been most damaged by the earthquake,
and though the signs of the disaster cannot be seen at the airport,
one sees aid materials and rescue teams arriving non-stop.
Everything and everybody is waiting in a huge hangar for the start.
Biscuits, bread, sugar, water.
These are what the packages hold.
Japanese, Russian, American and Hungarian rescue specialists everywhere.
This is them.
And this is the first place in Somatra where the team with the Hungarians started work.
They do not know much about the building itself,
only that it is 3 storeys high, and when it collapsed
there were people inside, as it used to hold workplaces.
At the moment they are trying to find out
if there are still people trapped under the ruins
and whether they are alive.
The engineers held a discussion among themselves,
they designed a strategy,
if there is a living signal then
we have to infiltrate and act accordingly.
Radio, dog food, protective gear, bags, jackets...
Helmets...
And this is what the dogs are here for.
They search the buildings first with their trainers.
If they signal it means that they have found a living person
under the ruins.
They did not signal at this building,
but the rescue specialists entered anyway
and tried to find a way through the rubble and dust.
Baptist World Aid's rescue teams are helping for 4 more days
in Somatra
and not only them.
Civil Defense also sent 12 people with dogs.
They are looking for survivors in other parts of the city.
