In order to tag records in ProQuest you will need to be signed in to your My Research account.
Then, while viewing a full record, you can either click on "tags" at the top of the record
or you can scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page to the tags area.
There, you will have the ability to add tags to the record you are currently viewing.
When tagging a record you can choose from other tags that you have used previously
or you can create new tags by typing them in manually
If you choose to share your tags with the ProQuest user community
then within a few hours of tagging the record your tags will be a part of the searchable record
and can be viewed by other ProQuest users worldwide.
Sharing tags requires a public profile, which can be managed in your My Research account
After you are done tagging you can view all of the tags you've created in your my research account by clicking "Go to My Tags"
There, you will see a complete list of your tags.
The number in parentheses indicates the number of items you've tagged with that particular word or phrase
Simply click on the tag in order to see all of the records with that tag.
You can choose to make public tags private or private tags public
You can also modify or delete existing tags
Tagging records provides a quick and easy way for you to organize your research
and to quickly return to records that you have grouped as like items.
