ONE OF THE MEN IS A FORMER
ROOMMATE OF DAPHNE NATIVE OMAR
HAMMAMI WHO
IS NOW ON THE FBI'S "MOST
WANTED' TERRORIST LIST.
FOX TEN NEWS REPORTER RENEE
DIALS HAS THAT STORY.
The "Criminal Complaint"
released by the US Attorney
today names Mohammad Abukhdair,
and Mobile native Randy Wilson
who also goes by the name
Rasheed Wilson.
This is a mugshot of Wilson when
he was arrested in 2011 on a
traffic warrant. Wilson and
Abukhdair are both facing
federal terrorism charges.
According to the US Attorney the
pair conspired to travel
overseas to wage violent
jihad. The complaint refers to
Wilson as a close friend and
former roommate of Daphne Native
Omar Hammami.
Wilson met Hammami in 2002, and
they lived together up until
2004.
Hammami has been indicted on
terrorism charges, and just last
month he was placed on
the FBI's "most wanted
terrorists" list. In Sept of
2011 Wilson told and undercover
agent, the FBI "has eyes" on
people in Mobile because of
Hammami.
Wilson met Abukhdair online. In
Oct 2011 he drove to Ohio to
pick up Abukhdair, who moved in
with Wilson and his family in
Mobile.
While talking to an undercover
FBI agent, Abukhdair made the
statement "people don't
understand that jihad means
people are going to die. It's
war." SU: Abukhdair was arrested
at a bus terminal in Augusta,
GA.
Authorities stopped Wilson in
Atlanta as he attempted to board
a flight to Morroco.
Wilson's wife and two children
were with him. They planned to
travel from Morroco to
Mauritania. Wilson said the
advantage of heading to
the north African country
include, it's weak government,
cheap cost of living, and close
location to emerging jihadist
fronts. In Mobile, I'm Renee
