JESSICA MUNOZ: My name is Jessica Munoz, I am from
northern New Jersey.
I'm a makeup artist. it's hard meeting someone when you live
home with your mother.
I don't have anywhere to put my stuff, so maybe I can use
your closet upstairs.
She's always like, you are so disorganized, you don't have
any shoes in the right place, clothes in the right.
I tell her all the time, I don't have any space, mom.
What do you want me to do?
I am the youngest one, but at the same time I think she's
ready to give me the boot and say hey, you've got
to get out of here.
I'm Jessica Munoz, I'm 29 years old, and I live at home
with my mom.
I have been here about six years.
Just about six years.
I am a freelance makeup artist.
I have been freelancing for about four years now.
I used to work for MAC Cosmetics, and
then I lost my job.
So economy wasn't doing well, I wasn't doing well, so my mom
said, why don't you come back home?
[SPEAKING SPANISH]
JESSICA MUNOZ: So I work at a lot of different salons, and I
also work out of my house as well.
I've pretty much taken over the basement.
The basement is like, all mine.
I have my room down there, I have my
makeup area down there.
I have a closet that's stuffed with winter clothes, and
summer clothes, and spring clothes.
All type of clothes.
[SPEAKING SPANISH]
JESSICA MUNOZ: So you come immediately down the stairs,
and the first thing you see is a huge couch full of clothes,
because I have nowhere to put my clothes.
And then I have my chair set up, where some of my clients
used to come in when I had it kind of nice and neat.
I have a mirror set up right in the front.
And then you walk like, two steps, and then my room is
like, literally right there.
So it's not as professional as what I would like it to be.
OLGA CARDENAS: Oh, that's terrible.
I can't go downstairs, because I can't walk.
JESSICA MUNOZ: And I have shoes all over the floor,
because I have nowhere to put my shoes.
OLGA CARDENAS: A lot of shoes are everywhere.
Clothes for everywhere.
That's terrible.
JESSICA MUNOZ: Everything is full of my stuff.
And I need to help organizing, fixing it,
making it look nice.
OLGA CARDENAS: Just messes.
She's disorganized.
You know, that's terrible with her.
[SPEAKING SPANISH]
JESSICA MUNOZ: If my basement downstairs was nice and put
together, and the way I would like it, I feel like it will
motivate me to do more, and to bring more clients in.
And to do more for myself as far as a makeup artist,
because I work off of inspiration.
I need to wake up in the morning and be inspired, and
that is what's gonna take me to the next level.
OLGA CARDENAS: That's terrible.
TRACY METRO: Hey, I'm Tracy Metro, the designer on I Live
With My Mom, right here on Spaces.
