My name is Julie Kay Robinson, on behalf of Expert Village. Today we're going to be making
a floral centerpiece, and first step in making a centerpiece is choosing your container.
Choosing the container really dictates the type and style of design that you're going
to have, because the flowers will alway follow the lines of the container. So we've got a
number of different containers here, any of which you can make a centerpiece in. But I'm
I'm going to be using my centerpiece on a dinner table, and I want something that's
going to be a little bit low and something that can be seen from all sides, and something
that won't really obstruct my view when I'm looking across the table. So, this container
is a little bit contemporary and it's definitely going to be in my line of vision once the
flowers are in it. The same thing goes with this container. This is a bit Mediterranean,
although it would work for a centerpiece, but I'd like a nice table centerpiece for
my dinner party. So, this one, the flowers are going to be in my line of vision if I
use this. And this one is quite pretty, but I'm afraid I'm going to have the same problem.
So, my choices are the bubble bowl, which is very pretty I might add, very crystal,
or, here's a platter which we can do a really neat design with. And I think I'm going to
choose the platter today. So, that is the first step of creating a centerpiece.
