Hello, my name's David Woods. I'm the executive chef at the Sofitel London Gatwick and I'm
here today to tell you a little bit about how Holiday Extras guests can get the best
from the dining experience and save money by dining in Le Café. And I'm going to tell
you a little bit about the styles of cuisine that we serve in both restaurants and how
you can get the best from your dining experience.
Obviously I'm very passionate about food, Holiday Extras guests are very important to
us and me personally. And I've put together a menu specifically for you which I think
takes into account the majority of tastes.
So we've got things like fish and chips, for us, I like to use fresh fish. So we don't
use frozen fish. We use fresh whiting, we coat it in honey panko crumbs, a nice crispy
crumb. We serve it with chips, a homemade tartar sauce and lemon.
You could also have a beef burger, but again it's not just a beef burger. We use Aberdeen,
pure Aberdeen Angus meat in a toasted bun with the normal garnishes that you would expect.
So it's certainly an experience we hope you'll enjoy here.
You really do have an opportunity to save money by taking up the option. If you look
at the Holiday Extras website you'll be able to see what savings are involved. When you
arrive at the hotel you'll have the option to dine in Le Café restaurant where you'll
have a choice of two courses with the facility to add a small supplement for an additional
course. Alternatively, you can put £15 towards a finer dining experience in La Brasserie
restaurant.
And then on desserts we've got things like crème brûlée. All our deserts are made
in-house, so it's made from proper Madagascan vanilla with cream, egg yolks and finished
with fresh fruits that are in season.
But again, I hope all these things are designed to please most tastes and I'm sure you're
going to enjoy it.
And as they say, the proof of the pudding is in the eating, so we're really looking
forward to you coming here so you can try our food, put it to the test and taste what
we've been talking about, thank you.
