We have recently partnered with uShip to offer our customers access to their new two step
bidding process. This will give our MegaBee clients access to one of the most robust auto
transport markets in the country. The best part is that once the software is setup, it
does all of the work, only prompting you to act when you actually have an order to take
care of.
In this video we will cover how to connect MegaBee to uShip and start the two step bidding
The first thing you need is a uShip account. Once you let us know you're interested, we
will have uShip contact you to set up your account and walk you through their "Onboarding
process". Once your account is setup, contact us and we will assist you with the integration
to our MegaBee software.
The process is simple and begins by logging into your MegaBee software, going to Settings,
next clicking on System Preferences, and then the uShip tab where you will find all of the
setup information required to integrate with uShip.
The first items required are the username and password that uShip provided you with
when they setup your account.
The next two boxes will allow you to bid on modified and convertible vehicles. By not
checking these boxes, those types of vehicles will be excluded from your bids..
The next item is the estimated date for pick-up of the vehicles you are bidding on, and the
following item "Respond to uShip.com Quotes" turns the process on and off by either checking
or unchecking the box.
The rest of the boxes are basic response information beginning with days per mile for delivery,
which is typically in the 400 mile per day range.
This is followed by the default quote priority status you would like the uShip quotes to
be marked when they come in. We strongly recommend that these quotes be received as inactive
otherwise each quote will be setup for a follow up call that can't be made and will just clutter
up the follow up calls section of your software. Now, you may select the pricing service level
that you would like to respond with for open load requests, typically the standard service
level is chosen. .
The final item is the length of time these bids will stay in your system. Just enter
in the number of days and they will be stored for reference. We recommend a setting of about
3 days.
Now that all of that has been filled out and we have checked the Respond to uShip.com Quotes,
the software is off and running.
The system is working in the background for you bidding hundreds of jobs per day while
you continue on with your normal business. When a uShip customer accepts one of your
bids you will see that the number on the left hand side next to "uShip Accepted" will increase
showing you that a potential customer has accepted your bid and that you need to check
and confirm before they become a finalized order. Your uShip account should also send
you an email notification.
Click on the uShip Accepted link to see a list of the bids you need to accept. By clicking
on an individual bid you will see a "View Bid on uShip" button at the top. Simply click
on the button and it will take you to that bid inside your uShip account where you can
review and accept the order.
Once you have done this go back to MegaBee, refresh the screen and you should see the
bid move down to the "uShip Order Ready" link on the left. Click on the link to display
the bids that you need to process into orders and then you can begin the order process from
here. From this point forward you treat this quote exactly like a normal quote in the system.
Once you place the order it will track through the MegaBee system just like any other order.
To help you track uShip activity we have added an additional drop down menu to the advanced
search screen and of course the uShip activity will also appear in the lead source summary
report in our report section.
Hopefully this will help you understand the process but feel free to contact us if you
have any questions or concerns...
Thank you for watching.
