Originally, there was a market for products and goods which included
everybody but companies decides to split off people who were older and
had impairments.
This was made easier as banks lent money to even those people who couldn't
afford to pay for things
and this was fine.
But suddenly the banks broke and no more money was available
and even more surprising they discovered that, in particular the older people
that they've been ignoring,
now had the money and
they were the people who were able to buy stuff.
Even worse
the market that they thought was secure had shrunk
because the population had become older and more people had become impaired.
It was at this point that the companies realised they really should
have built
products and services inclusive to everyone.
