Single Line Diagram Cover Page
This is a new document that we ve developed in response to identifying
that number one reason for return, which is inconsistent information. And it s a single-line
diagram cover page. It really is used to highlight the information on the single-line diagram.
Some of you may be familiar with the single-line diagram format or are comfortable with reading
a single-line diagram, but others may not. Others may be happy with just putting the
application packet together and collating the single-line diagram with that document,
as a result. There's really no validation that you're going through. You're just taking
the document as it s presented a single line diagram, you see an electrical diagram, and you put
it together with your application and submitted on for review. What we've done here is, an
attempt to summarize that electrical component of the diagram in a sheet that will assist
the individual putting the application together, so that, at a glance, you'll be able to compare
without even trying to interpret or read the diagram, the individual that would draw the
single-line diagram, would use this cover page to attach it to the single-line diagram
for the sheet spread, the sheet spread, the single-line diagram is showing that there
we're installing 40 modules, but hey, I have a change order here and the application says
it's only 35. At that point, we'll send it back to in turn to your business operations,
to the individual putting the diagram together and get that revision made before it's submitted
to us and sent back for correction. This is very important. This is not a mandatory document.
It's not something that you need to submit to us along with your core documents which
we'll review, but it s an attempt that we made here to respond to the number one reason,
that you've identified: inconsistent information, and to help those of you that, again, are
not familiar with reading a single-line diagram. We hope that you incorporate this document
into your process to work with the individual that's putting the single-line diagram together,
so that they can fill this document out and help with the information that's on that diagram,
so the individual putting the application together can use it and compare that information.
