Hi there So you're ready to take the plunge into uni
life, but you're not sure how? Typically there are two ways to apply to uni
depending on your history. This first way is directly through USQ.
The second way is via QLD Tertiary Admissions Centre or QTAC for short, but who are QTAC?
Well they handle ALL undergraduate University applications in Queensland.
When you apply with QTAC, you'll need to fill out an online application, providing your
personal details, previous study and employment history, and in some cases you may need to
provide some documentation. They charge a small fee that's payable to them.
QTAC allow you submit up to 6 preferences. This means you can have a backup plan if you
don't meet eligibility. QTAC will release offerings at set dates throughout
the year. They'll send you a letter informing you of this.
When you accept their offer, it's over to USQ. We'll get in contact, firstly with a
letter of offer, and then with your enrolment pack.
Now let's look at applying direct to USQ. You can do this if you've studied with us
before or studied at Tafe in Queensland, New South Wales, or South Australia, or if you're
an international student please contact the international office.
Applying directly is free and will only take 5 minutes. Just go to our website, fill in
your personal details, and voila! We'll then assess your eligibility and one
of our friendly Student Relationship Officers will be in contact with you. At any time during
the process you can call your SRO for an update. Simple
Most people are a bit unsure about how OPs work and also about how to apply for credit
or exemptions. We are happy to step you through any process
or clarify any question. Your application is the first step towards
fulfilling your life! It was one big whirlwind and suddenly I was
a university student. It went from this small idea to part of who I am now.
