Hi, and welcome to the ValveTime Weekly Dota 2 Update News Round-Up.
Each week, we'll bring you the biggest talking points regarding Dota 2 and the game's updates.
Now, the Dota 2 update:
As you might have guessed, this week has been ridiculously light on news,
with this week's Dota 2 update being the only real talking point.
The update introduced a brand new hero, Bristleback,
who is regularly played a tank initiator capable of spamming abilities
thanks to their low cooldowns and mana costs.
His ultimate, named "Warpath," allows Bristleback to gain bonus attack damage
and movement speed by using and stacking multiple abilities in a short period of time.
At max level after the maximum total stack of 5 has been reached,
Bristleback will deal an additional 150 damage while moving with 25% bonus speed.
New cosmetic item sets were included for Brewmaster, Lich, Riki, Juggernaut, Beastmaster, and Spectre.
Two new couriers, including the adorable "Captain Bamboo" panda and the not so cuddly "Inky the Hexapus."
The update also introduced major changes to heroes Wisp, Vengeful Spirit, and Beastmaster.
Wisp's in-game name has been changed to IO
while the hero's model has been changed back to the older, dark blue version.
Beastmaster has received major work to his voice lines, altering the pitch and increasing the overall quality
while Vengeful Spirit has finally received her updated and improved player model,
which was added to the game files over a month ago.
The Gem of True Sight, Magic Wand, Recipe, Iron Branch, Sentry Wards, and Observer Wards
all received their respective in-game floor models in a similar fashion to items updated in previous weeks.
For more information on this week's update, head on over to ValveTime.net for our full write-up,
or check out Cyborgmatt's full changelog analysis over on his blog.
Both links will be included in the video description
alongside a link to an update post by Valve on the Dota 2 blog.
Now, for this week's discussion:
We'd like to you talk about which currently unreleased Dota 2 hero you would like to see released next.
Let us know your top 3 choices and why.
If you don't like Dota 2 for whatever reason,
let us know what improvements you'd like Valve to make to Team Fortress 2 and why.
And that brings us to the end of an extremely quiet news week.
Be sure to check out the third episode of the live action Portal series "Aperture R&D,"
which is available on Machinima's channel via the annotation link currently on-screen.
And don't forget that today is the last day ValveTime will be accepting writer applications for our website and YouTube channel,
so send in your work to "vacanies@valvetime.net" today to avoid missing out.
Thanks for all the interest so far.
We look forward to talking to our new writers early next week.
Stay tuned for the return of ValveTime TalkTime later this week
and hopefully the release of our Zombie Master 2 review, if I ever get round to finishing it –
which...I really...I swear I am.
Anyway, thanks for watching and bye for now.
