This is how to defend the bear hug. Usually if you've already hit a guy and he doesn't
like it he's going to come in for a bear hug. Or the biggest guy in the group is going to
take it upon himself knowing instinctively his job is to grab you so his buddies can
put a beating on you. So defending the bear hug if he's coming in from out far I'm just
going to frame the neck, step to the side, not let him get to me and throw the right
cross. So if I'm initiating from far I'm going to frame his neck here, keep to the outside
and then throw the right cross to stop it initially. If he's already coming in a little
closer I'm going to come into the attack, I'm going to meet force with force. So if
he comes here, you're going on his head and tilting his head backwards and you're going
to eye gouge in real self defense. You're going to take your thumbs and push them into
his eyes and you're taking his head backwards to not let him get his arms around you. So
that's how to defend the bear hug.
