Now, this is Dowell coming to you from The Firehouse Car Wash. We've talked to you about
washing your car. I'm going to talk about the unfortunate part. That happens when we
wash our cars. It's always when we find damage and it's hurts so bad when we find that rock
chip. That scratch. That door ding. Maybe your cars a couple of years old and it's not
quite got the luster and shine that it's got had before. So when we're washing our vehicle
it really gives us a chance to observe what's going on in the paint. Is there rust spots?
Is there oxidation? Do we have scratches? There's an unfortunate thing that happens
with some in todays paints called spider webbing. You might notice some swirl marks form some
auto body repair that you had done. From a bad buff job that was done and that's when
your going to see it. So we're really evaluating our car to determine if we need to take some
preventive measures or some corrective measures. To get our paint back in good shape. There'll
be other segments where we can teach how to remove dings. How to remove scratches. How
to remove oxidation but the first steps really realizing that you have it. If it's not quite
the way you want it. We can do some research. We can do some training or take it to a professional
auto shop. Like The Firehouse where we can bring in a team of professionals. Where we
have the tools to really bring your paint back to the way you want it. Particularly
I see a lot of black cars that we're washing or cleaning. You know black paint there's
nothing that looks better when it's clean. When it's new. It's got a deep rich color
but it shows scratches it shows oxidation and I don't care what kind of paint job you've
got. You're probably going to have to buff a black car every couple years or at least
every year. To get that out. So evaluate your car when your washing it. Look for what needs
to be done. By keeping it in tip top shape and staying on top of it in early stages.
You'll preserve and protect your paint for years to come.
