Midwest School Shows is proud to present Readers Are Leaders!
Excellent! We're going to learn a little bit more about being a great reader,
and how that can help you become a great leader.
Many of you are already great readers...
Readers Are Leaders is a fun and educational show that reinforces reading comprehension
and writing skills, while promoting good reading habits in elementary-age children.
Audience participation is encouraged throughout the performance,
and kids from all grade levels are invited to participate in funny and entertaining
routines that illustrate the concepts of prefixes and suffixes, sentence structure,
phonics, and more.
The highlight of the show is when audience members get a chance to act out
the presenter's favorite book, complete with costumes, props, and lots of comedy.
And then he met an old woman, and the old woman said, "Stop making dough!"
and then she said it in her old woman voice
"Stop making dough!"
It's a laugh-out-loud lesson in story-building and using your imagination while reading.
Readers Are Leaders has been presented in hundreds of schools across the country,
and always scores an A plus with teachers, parents, and students.
This show is a great way to celebrate March Reading Month, but the reading messages
of the show are relevant any time of the year.
