Hey everyone! My name's Doug Floyd General Manager of Hart House Theatre. Thanks for
being a newsletter subscriber. I just got back from New York City and went to see "Bullet
For Adolf". Some of you may remember that "Bullet For Adolf" made it's World Premiere right here
in Hart House Theatre last April and uh, I was very happy to see the show in New York,
it opens August the 8th I saw one of the previews, I just want to say congratulations to ***
Harrelson and Frankie Hyman and a special congratulations to the cast members who were actually in the
show here at Hart House who are now off-Broadway so that's fantastic for them: David Coomber
and Brandon Coffee and the associate director of the show is Will O'Hare. You may remember
him, he directed for us last season "The Great American Trailer Park Musical". So, that's
an update on that, so great news about a show that started here and now in New York City
doing great. Summer time is a little ah.. slow around the theatre sometimes? This year
not so slow, Lots of things happening like this! We are getting all of the seats reupholstered
and restuffed, so when September comes around and "Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead"
opens (on September 21st) the seats will be very comfortable as opposed to the past when
they're not so comfortable, so as you can hear without the seats there is a big echo in this
room so the sound changes a lot. All seats are going to look like... Come on let's go
yeah, All the seats (giggles) are going to look like these here, they're all going to
look the same color, very comfortable, and a nice deeper red than we had before as opposed
to the rainbow color we had before. And hot off the press our new season brochure just
came in yesterday has all the details that you'll need to see every show in our season
next year. We have a great season lined up and as you can see we have a couple, not many,
maybe one or two boxes so you'll see them everywhere in Toronto starting soon. Right
Erica? (Erika's voice: Right...) Ok, thank you for being a newsletter subscriber.
