Joho Ladies and Gentlemen, this is Jo Cognito from Videoamt with the subject "Channel design, creating a sample".
I'm going to show you with a current project, how you can simply make a channel sample for creating a design.
It's that simple and I wonder why noone else hasn't done it yet.
The project you can see here names "Alles für eine Welt" ("Everything for one world").
It's a school competition.
And it's about what you can do for the future, the subject is sustainable development.
Forms can participate in a competition and win some money.
Everyone of them has fun and everything's good.
Horst Köhler is involved and the "Bundesministerium für wirtschaftliche Zusammenarbeit und Entwicklung".
Long live the kids.
They especially made a video "Today is tomorrow yesterday" with Nora Tschirner.
And it should be a viral video but so far it has just 2782 clicks so we have to work on it.
There has also been a channel design sample like this.
Of corse it's a good idea but somehow it's not good enough.
To create a channel design you need to have a sample.
I've already shown you how that works in some videos.
Well, there is also another possibility and I'm gonna show you.
So we just change the colours of the background
and we create a new "subject", a new background.
It's very easy and we make our background more transparent.
So we take blue and green screening and so we make it black and take out the background picture.
I can choose the wrapper colour.
Concerning the keying I should take a clean blue or green, because colours with 0000FF are very pure.
That's great because the colour doesn't exist in the human body.
The text becomes black and I don't choose a wraper transparency.
For the colour palette I take a green background colour and again no transparency.
The title got to be in black and the link colour black, then we take a look at it.
Actually it's my sample, I'm just saving it and hope that it works.
For something like that's good if you have a big channel,
you have uploads, subscribers, friends and subs, not too much but never mind.
Actually we have the profile and the text is almost ready and text is also an important element,
don't underrate it, like the hyperlinks and so on.
It's very important.
If I want to get a good screenshot I have to log off so that the modules disappear.
Then I'm going into the channel once again.
I press F11 to make the headpiece disappear.
And then I just leave this thing out.
Let's see what's happening.
And this is my sample.
We already know the rest, Fireshot and you have to make a screenshot with it.
You should shoot the whole page and save.
I'm saving it as .png because the quality has to be the best.
We don't have a better format here.
And this is it.
The next step will be to use a graphics program like Photoshop or gimp or something else.
And I have to edit the levels.
And here it is.
If we'are zooming we can see that the lettest are not so clean and it's bluring with the green or the blue.
As you can see if I use the pipet tool the green is not always the same.
I can see that green is not always green.
So if you take a look at the information above, I have the RGB part and green is still 144 green.
If I go into the right green, it is 255 as it should be.
It's like with the blue, also 255.
Zero green, zero red and this would be perfect, live and for graphics.
Clear blue, clear green.
The next thing I'm going to do is duplicating the layer, for blue, for green and for the letters.
I'm just renaming it, and I'm well prepared.
And now I'm going into the keying process.
I use to do it like that.
It's simply the best and you can change the fuzziness and you can see that the picture is changing.
I would make it as blue as possible and we click "ok" at the end.
I'm going into the blue layer and I'm turning all of that and then I delete it.
And if I'm masking the rest you can see what's happening.
Finally everything except the blue is left out.
I can do the same with the rest like that.
Colour range and the controller hast to be turned right, to delete the green.
I'm picking the green layer, marking it and then delete.
Then you can see what is left.
At last you can also pick the icons or the letters of the channel, the "subscribe" button and the channel icon,
you usually want to delete it and I'm doing it with the same way.
Choosing the colour, in that case blue, delete.
Then I pick green and it's done.
Now I'm zooming a little bit.
Due to the green which blures with the letters you can see that it's not very clear.
But it doesn't matter because I just need the letters for orientation.
It's not a stylistic element, the letters are changing all the time, so it's for orientation.
That means that we have both the letters, the blue and the green.
Or green and blue together, it's useful.
Now it makes sense to make the header disappear, with the YouTube symbol and the search bar.
Therefore I'm using the cognitool.
And I'm picking this area.
So I'm deleting it.
Now I check the levels so that there appear no gaps.
I should fill it with blue where the letters should be, but it's up to you.
You may pick a square like this and choose a colour.
You can also take a brush, but it doesn't matter how yo do this.
Pay attention on the area above with the text, because you cannot change the colour there, the wrapper will fix a colour.
You have no chance to change the colour of this thing above where the "subscribe" button is.
It's the same as the green, you should fill the gaps so that it is a clear area.
And I'm going to do it like this.
I'm choosing every area which I want to fill with colour.
Everything has to be green.
As you can see it's not very challenging.
You just have to do it.
Hey why has noone else done this yet?
There are a lot of possibilities to manipulate it like just inserting subscribers as much as I want.
Like 33 billions it probably works.
Of course you can find it out but firstly it looks real.
Finally it looks like this and I'm adding the letters, so it makes sense.
Of course there didn't change very much but I have a clear sample.
Thereupon I can easyly pick the green and add some styles.
This one for example, wow.
What about these ones.
I guess that I need to create me some new styles.
This one is okay.
And I'm doing the same for the blue, just marking the layer.
I could keep it more simple.
Like this.
Now I'm adding the letters to controle it and my channel design is ready.
I dedicate this video to all of you gamers, because I have a lot of gamer subscibers
and especially FearZoneTV, because they have a cool gaming channel,
where they use to play games and document it and it's really funny.
You can take a look at it and they have a good quality.
Especially their channel design is well done because they've extended the design.
They didn't stand by the rules which say that the wrapper ends here and your design has to be like this.
That's been one of the first channels which recognized that it doesn't have to be like this.
So this is it, the subject "channel design, creating a sample" with green- and bluescreen.
I hope you've learned something, if yes please subscribe, if not, let it be.
This was Jo Cognito from Videoamt and I am out.
