at the Metropolitan Sports Center in Minneapolis. Quieting the fans demanding an encore, announcer
Al Dvorin uttered the well known phrase: "Elvis has left the building."
November 6 1970, Aerosmith played their first ever gig when they performed at Nipmuc Regional
High School (it's now Miscoe Hill Elementary) in Mendon, Massachusetts. From such humble
beginnings, Aerosmith went on to become the best-selling American rock band of all time.
November 7 1987, Bruce Springsteen goes to No.1 on the US album chart with 'Tunnel Of
Love.' Bruce's eighth studio album went triple platinum in the US.
November 8 2008, AC/DC began a two-week stay at #1 on the US album chart with 'Black Ice,'
their fifteenth studio album. "Black Ice" went to #1 in 29 countries, including Australia,
Canada and the UK.
November 9 2002, In a VH1 UK viewers poll, 'I Will Always Love You' by Whitney Houston
was voted as the number 1 most romantic song ever. Second place went to Elvis Presley's
'You Were Always On My Mind' and third place went to 'My Heart Will Go On' by Celine Dion.
November 10 2007, Carrie Underwood goes to No.1 on the US album chart with 'Carnival
Ride', her second album and first No.1.
