>> Hi, my name is Chunani
and I'm a law undergrad at UCL.
I'm currently about to go into my second year.
It was hard for me when I first came here.
When your parents haven't been to university and other people
in your family haven't necessarily been to university
and you just think of the cost.
I didn't come to UCL thinking I'm going to get a scholarship,
but I obviously knew if I did get one it would help a lot.
UCL degrees are very highly valued and they should be
because it is hard work.
And I think my experience of being here has changed me
in a lot of ways.
It's not just about being the academic.
It's also you know, questioning what we're here in the world
and questioning our place in the world and making
sure that we do the most for other people just
like the university has done for us.
Everyone who donated I just want to say a massive thankyou on behalf
of everyone who has benefited from their kind giving
which isn't just me, or the other scholarship students,
but all the students here,
who are able to use the new Union Building,
the libraries, and enjoy university life
as they should do.
Every donation that they make is very significant
and it has a massive impact on university life
and the university as whole is very grateful.
