I'm Lexi Brown, and I'm Madison McKenna, and we're here in the William Harris Gallery celebrating
the opening of the State of Things, the Senior Fine At Exhibition. It's a big a variety of,
more than we've seen in the past, in my opinion. Everyone's work is really different, and everyone
works with different themes and concepts and it's really nice to have everyone's work together in one room.
Um, we started about five weeks ago, uh, which
is a lot shorter than they've had in the past to plan the show, but with not a lot of time
we were able to pull it all together. And we're really excited to be in the newly
renovated gallery, the first show the gallery has had since its renovation, and the first
renovation in 30 years. We have newly refinished walls and floors. The exhibition space has
been expanded and there's also been the installation of a cieling grid, which allows for, um, more flexibility
and lighting and also for students to hang their work from the ceiling. Um, we have a
lot of different installations ranging from all different sizes. Some are books on pedestals,
and then also, some people do have traditional wall installations, um prints on all different
surfaces and sizes.
