Hi! My name is Kathy and we’re at My Lords and Ladies in Stratford, Ontario on behalf
of expertvillage.com we’re talking about jewelry today. What do we do with all that
broken jewelry, that stray earring we can’t find the other one, we simply incorporate
it into some specialty art form. Now the easy thing to do is just get yourself a glue gun
with a glue gun you can do just about anything, take all those little bits and pieces of jewelry
chop them up into smaller pieces if you need to instead of using them as entire pieces
and start to lay them on top of things. This here is a mirror that was a bracelet, this
was a necklace and these are little bobbles that came off of a bracelet with a glue gun
I just embellish the mirror, now when you hang that on the wall it makes far more of
a statement. The exact same thing could be done on any kind of box as a gift giving idea
you can get a nice glass box, a wooden box whatever the case may be and the same thing
again you can put bobbles all the way around it. I took a simple wooden box and some jewelry
that was broken from a necklace, took one individual piece put it on the lid, wrapped
it around here and I would give that as a gift given idea, perhaps put a little something
inside and you’re set. Those stray earrings if they are elaborate earrings and they look
nice all alone on their own simply take it off its hooks there’s usually a ring there
take a small piece of ribbon and run it through suddenly we have a necklace, if it’s elaborate
enough it’ll make a statement all on its own, if it’s not that elaborate incorporate
it with a few more pieces. Last but not least it’s always fun to have a mask, took a few
feathers, the half of a broken belt which will consider to be jewelry put it in the
middle of there now you can put that in a vase along with some flowers and it makes
a statement on its own, you could of put rhinestones all the way around here you embellish this
the same way you would embellish a mirror or anything else. Just a few little pointer
on what you can do instead of throwing it out, one more way to recycle.
