Hi everybody. This is Adam Morgan here from succeedwithadam.com and in today's video I'm
going to answer this question that you see right in front of you. What's all this hype
around attraction marketing? Let's begin.
In my mind, the answer lies in our understanding of push versus pull marketing and it's a concept
that many big companies actually use, but I'm going to manipulate it a little bit so
that you understand what attraction marketing is and the roles that it can play in your
business.
This is the way that you communicate your message to others and I've broken it down
into value and no value and I'm going to show some examples later on that will help you
understand exactly what that means. Let's talk about the state of network marketing
and internet marketing.
Network marketing has been around for more than 100 years and it's a method of distribution.
Rather than having a retail location where product is being sold, people can sign up
as an independent contractor or a rep and they can pedal that product to their friends
and family. Now, within the last probably ten years since the development of the internet
there has developed a divide between traditional network marketing and non-traditional.
In my mind, non-traditional is embracing internet marketing. Let's talk about the traditional
form of network marketing. They teach you to build a list of all of your friends and
family. Because what you're going to actually do is you're going to call those people and
you're going to tell them about your products or your service and the opportunity that they
have to sign up as a rep and make money doing the same thing.
Now, what they usually do is they tell you they are either handouts, DVD's, flyers or
they do home parties or hotel meetings. I've done all of that and as a result even though
I did have some success, it burned me out. There's a lot of heartache and a lot of headache.
Really. You have to call people. If you like sales, the traditional way of network marketing
will be great for you.
Let's talk about internet marketing. I don't have to call people which is really nice.
It's not that I don't mind calling people, I just don't have to. I can leverage the internet
to attract or to pull people towards me so that's the difference. Traditional network
marketing is a push. You're attacking your friends and family to show them your products
and your services.
In internet marketing and the non-traditional way of marketing, you're actually embracing
and using systems and the internet to attract or pull people towards you.
What's the next step? Let's use some examples of push marketing. Just the other day I had
this guy, you know what I mean, through Facebook and this is what he sent me. "Hello, you want
to sign up in Ripln? Write an email at..." and he left out the email and then he gave
me two videos to watch and then he said, "and write your email or register it on Ripln and
do not forget to invite all your friends. Ripln new social network are very interesting.
Please do repost my post about the new social networks Ripln. This is the bomb. You will
not regret."
So, the guy's English is pretty bad, but again you'll see that he is embracing push marketing.
He didn't add any value to my life. Not only did he send me this spam message which I didn't
ask for, he didn't try to build a relationship with me. Who knows. Maybe Ripln is something
that I need to add to my tool belt, maybe it isn't.
But see, if he had built a relationship with me he would have found out that this was something
I did or didn't need. So, this is a very good example of push marketing and it doesn't work.
This is perceived as spam. Nobody wants to be spammed.
Here's an example of pull marketing. Michelle and Bill Pescosolido, they're great internet
marketers and I'm actually friends with them on Facebook. This is an add that I saw that
they ran awhile ago. Let's read it together. "Work with Bill and Michelle Pescosolido.
Click here if you are serious about your business, coachable and want a step by step blue print."
So, the reason why this is pull marketing is because in exchange for clicking on the
add they want to give you a step by step blue print. So, they're adding value to your life.
That make sense? Do you understand the distinction that I'm making here? Value versus no value.
Push versus pull. This is the very core of attraction marketing.
How can you pull prospects in? Number one, you need to understand what makes somebody
attractive and probably the best way to know what this is is just think about some of the
people that you're friends with. Are they funny? Do they make you feel loved? Are they
a good leader? Are they wealthy? Do you look up to them? Do they dress professional? You
can go on and on about the things that makes somebody attractive.
So, what I want you to do is to start paying attention to the people around you and start
picking up on the things that make them attractive. Okay? Because you can think those things and
you can work on them and in turn and as a result make yourself more attractive.
The number two way that you can pull prospects in is to learn how to drive traffic to your
site and your offer. I just got off the call with a very good friend of mine and team member.
I was explaining this concept to her. She was wondering why she wasn't making any sales
and the truth of the matter is she hasn't mastered a strategy for traffic generation.
She hasn't learned how to make herself fully attractive.
And along with that I want to help you understand that you can have the best product with the
best service in the world, but if nobody knows about it, you're not going to make any money
or you're not going to make any sales. So, you have to learn how to pull those people
in. You don't do it by push, because that's not attracting. That's dispelling or that's
pushing people away from you.
