Today we're in Merzig, at Kelleners Motorsport
To test two of their cars
First, we're going to do this one
A BMW 330d..
With a M-pack.
They upgraded it from 258 to 302 BHP
The torque is now 655NM
They call it their "performance" model
They also have more comfort cars like the 6 series we'll be testing
They call in their " performance " model and I have floored it a couple of times
Which I will now do..
Sportmode..
You get a great blowing sound
Something that's missing with normal diesels
Just an energetic sound
This one's got that!
A very nice addition..
The 330d is very modest as standard..
A true business car
Which you see everywhere
Kelleners turned it into something quite special
Take a look at the carbon fibre parts..
The front spoiler..
The back spoiler..
It just looks like pure quality!
Kelleners really aim for the people that have a 330d
because the 335d wasn't available at the time
Those people just want more power now
The car feels really fast
In one go, it just pulls to 250 km/h
But as soon as you're cornering..
I put it in Sport+
And my expectations are high at that moment..
They call it a sportscar
This is where this car should excel
But I immediately notice that I don't feel the road
Even with this bad tarmac
There's no feeling in the steering wheel or car
Here's a great corner..
It just isn't very pleasing
I think this car is all about " Autobahn-performance"
Because it's not made for cornering.
The base, a 330d..
Hasn't got any feel at all..
Kelleners tried to make it better, by fitting 20 inch rims
But it really is an autobahn verhicle and not a sportscar
Those days are over for the regular 3 series
