In terms of losing your slice and getting a hook, this segment is on hitting a low hook.
Believe it or not, one of the easiest shots in golf to hit. The reason that many people
have difficulty with this shot, they don't know the simple fundamentals of it. Because
I'm putting all my hook thoughts together to hit a low hook. First of all, you can't
use a club like a 3 iron, or a 4 iron, even a 5 iron, because it takes all the loft of
it. It's more like a 9, 8 7, maybe a 6. I'm putting all my fundamentals together here.
Number one, I'm playing the ball off my back foot. Number two, I'm starting with my hands
way in front of the ball. Number three, I'm bringing the club way inside and swinging
out. Number four, I'm starting with a club face that's way closed. Way closed! You think
that might be a low hook? You think that might be a low hook? You better believe it! Ball
back, hands up, closed club face. Look at that! If there was a globe here, look at this.
You think that's going to spin the globe? I guess so! A low hook, believe it or not,
is one of the easiest shots in golf. But, put the quadruple whammy on it. Ball back,
hands up, closed club face, inside, out. And you're going to hit some of the greatest low
hooks you've ever seen.
