Quite a few years ago I was an early adaptor and I bought one of the original SureFire
6P's, and I thought I was pretty special because I thought I had a really nice
light,
which I did.
More recently SureFire has the 6PX Pro.
6PX Pro has some really nice features.
Start out with it has an aluminum body,
hard anodized, this isn't going to melt on your dashboard.
If you're a law enforcement officer you can carry this with you on the job
it can get banged around, it's not going to go down on you. It has an LED light as
opposed to xenon.
The LED is virtually unbreakable, it will last for tens of thousands of hours.
LED's also kind of sip at power.
This has two brightness settings, it has fifteen that low which is adequate if you
need to read something, look in your car or in a briefcase.
It also has a two hundred lumen setting which is nice if you want to set things in
your briefcase on fire.
If you want to reach out a little bit, this can also be mounted on a weapon very easily with a
standard ring.
Has a crenellated bezel, again if you're law enforcement, if you have to use
this as a non-lethal weapon. You screw this into somebody's temple it's going to get
their attention. It also has the benefit of collecting DNA for later analysis in
identification of a suspect.
On the fifteen lumen output
you're looking at something along the lines of forty-five hours of runtime, on
the two hundred lumin output you're looking at roughly two-and-a-half hours.
So, the LED really gives you some long runtimes with this.
This is one of the best products
for a flashlight that you can get the price.
None better, SureFire 6PX Pro.
