Hi, This is Willy.
Sometimes when you should a subject
like this
You will realize that your background is too bright and there's not enough
light on the subject that it becomes too dark.
So what you do have to do, is to turn up your EV
to a +EV and then what you realize is that now
the subject is properly exposed but the background will be too bright.
If you want to the background to be properly exposed as well, what you can do
is to turn on the flash. So if you force a flash on
and you do this shoot like this
Your subject would then be
properly lit by the flash as well.
Sometimes if you're too far away, the flash is not strong enough to light on the subject.
Just move nearer to the subject.
