Hey, were the DIY Divas, I'm Alison. I'm Christina. And I'm Lauren. We're going to show you some
DIY wood staining projects with items that we scooped up at the thrift store, 5-20 bucks,
transform it into far more stylish items for your home.
Ok, so we have two pieces of furniture here. We have a great chair and a table that we
got from a friend that we stripped down and are starting fresh with a lime oak stain.
We're going to use it for kids as an activity table but we've decided to dazzle it up with
some stencils and custom stains!
This is a table my girlfriend gave me that used to be her kids table. It was covered
with glitter, paint and all scratched up. We sanded it down so it was clean, gave it
that lime oaked stain and now we're going to stencil letters all over it in three colors!
The colors are lily pad, mussel shell and dry lavender. Then, we got the chair that
we scooped up from the flea market, sanded that down and did the lime oak stain with
some candy striping. Then we're going to stencil with the corresponding colors and we'll see
how it looks! Yes, it's going to be a great, brightened up activity area. So we used adhesive
stencils, our three custom tint stains and now we're going to be revealing them in a
variety of letters and numbers on our kids table!
Alright so we are finished with our table and chair, the table was a cast off from my
friend and the chair a find at the flea market, really inexpensively. Sanded them down, stripped
them and stained them lime oak which is basically white and the chair and the table we painted
with three custom stains. The adhesive stencils worked much better by the way, so now we suggest
you find your own things and refurbish them! I don't know about you but I wouldn't mind
spending the day here drawing with our milk and cookies. Go try this at home!
