Hello YouTube and welcome to this new unboxing video !
This time, I unbox the Sig 556 King Arms (the shorty version)
As you can see on this awesome looking adhesive tape, the gun comes from ShootAvenue
Where you can currently buy it for 200 Ç instead of 300 Ç, which I guess is a pretty decent deal
So if you're interested by this gun, now would be a good time to get it
So let's see the inside of the box...
I can see there is this extra protective foam, which is still a good thing to have
Here you have the usual ShootAvenue flyers
The booklet of the gun
And, of course, the gun
You can see there is a label attached to the trigger guard
If you look to it, you can see the gun has been tested before being sent
You can see the serial number, the product code, the average velocity... 101-105 m/s
It's always good to know that the gun has been tested before being sent
You also get a bbs loader, this one is bigger than the ones you usualy get (I'd say it's a 150 bbs capacity)
I believe I got a gift from ShootAvenue as well... Yeah it's a Vlight, a little light you put on helmets or velcro gear
It just makes a weak light allowing you to be easily seen by your team mates in low light situations
Thanks Shoot Avenue !
So of course you got the gun, with a "power equals to 1,2 joule or weaker" sticker
And here is the magazine, note it's not a high cap but a midcap (probably 120-130 rounds)
To me it's a good point, not being a fan of high cap I prefer to get a midcap with the gun
You also get this stick allowing you to clean your inner barrel
It's actually much longer than the actual inner barrel, I guess that's the same than the one used for the full size version
What I like with this kind of gun is that it looks like a M4, it feels like a M4, but it's not a M4
Which makes it more original
I like to have things rarely seen on an airsoft fields, and in this case, you get originality and advantages of the M4 design
You can still use M4 magazine, you still have the general ergonomy of the M4 which is very good in the first place
The retractable stock...
However, be aware that if it's "supposed" to be compatible with all kind of M4 magazines,
It might not actually be the case... Be careful about that, I'll make a few tests with the magazines I already have
The gun is quite heavy actually, considering the size you could expect something lighter
But it's actually very heavy ; it's full metal, except for the stock and the pistol grip (nb : magazine is plastic too)
I also see that you have an ambidextrous safety, it works on both side
You can adjust the hop up with a wheel you can see behind the ejection port
The bolt catch being dummy, I don't think you can block the bolt to the rear
But, well, no big deal to me, it's still easy enough to adjust
Note the gun has an electrical blowback, each time you shoot this part moves a bit
Some people like this feature, some don't... Personally it depends of the gun, if it feels good or not
Sometimes it's well made, sometimes it's not...
I believe on the full size version, you put the battery inside the hand guard
On this version, I think you put it inside the stock
Yeah you got the short tamiya port here
So to summarize, I like the originality of the gun, I like that it still has M4 ergonomy, I -might- like the blowback
You also have other advantages, like the fact it comes with a midcap instead of a high cap
I'll also need to test, but according to the shop the power is about 350 FPS
Which is probably the most wanted power for airsoft players in France for this kind of gun
Maybe it's still too powerful for CQB fields, but for outside fields or urban areas, it's just what you need
Just one problem for now : I'm currently holding the gun naturally, and my index finger can't reach the mag release button
Which is obviously quite annoying for me
I really need to exagerately extend my index or to use a different technic in order to release the magazine
Note the gun does have iron sights, which are folded
The rear sight wobbles a lot, but I'm going to assume it's enough to shoot a guy 30 meters away
What else can I say... It's probably not the most known gun ever
I believe the gun appears in Resident Evil 5, the full size version though not the short one
Here are the markings on the left side... Very well made, it's not ugly white paint like you see sometimes
No markings on the right side
Here it is I guess... Now I'll make the shooting video. Thanks for watching !
