Today I teach sweet potato soup/ tong sui
around 500 grams sweet potato, peel off the skin
cut off the top and bottom part, cut into 4 pieces then cut like this
put it in the water and soak the sweet potato pieces for 30 mins
I need 10 grams ginger, peel off the skin, stomp it
put in 600 ml water, cover with lid, set aside
when the ginger water is boiling
put the sweet potato pieces into the boiling ginger water
cover with lid, bring to boil
when it boils, turn to low heat, cook for 15 mins
15 mins later, stick woodpick in sweet potato pieces
if easy to stick in, they are cooked
I need to put in 75 grams washed brown sugar
continue to cook until the brown sugar is dissolved
it takes around 5 mins
the cooking depends on the thickness of the sweet potato pieces
for me it tastes best with brown sugar
please change the amount of sugar according to your taste
