My career goals as a Cosmetology student are really
to eventually become an instructor.
They teach you something new every day to get you prepared
to move out onto the floor to work on clients
and then once you're out on the floor you get
to practice the techniques and do perms, colors,
haircuts, waxing, facials.
You're not constantly doing the same thing over
and over and over again.
We get you to the board exam to pass your license
and make something for yourself in the future.
Taking what you've learned here
out into the real world is the easiest transition I think
with being able to work on the floor
and work on actual clients.
It's not really any different other
than once you graduate you're actually making money.
Hancock has made a difference in my life
by giving me the opportunity, as a mom, to have the time
to go back to school and make a career.
