>> I'm Elvinet Wilson, Dr. Elvinet S. Wilson,
Communication Studies Assistant Professor at Indiana University East.
How I know when there has been sort of a quality experience in an online classroom is the level
of student engagement and then the sort of feedback that I get at the end
of the course from students via email.
So, I usually know that it was a successful class and it was organized well.
Students usually talk about organization, how well the class was organized,
if they felt they learned a lot and if the course was valuable to them and they usually--
if they are happy, they will send that feedback to you.
>> So, what do you do with the feedback that is maybe not so happy?
>> If it's not so happy?
>> I mean, I would imagine that you take it and you address, you know--
>> Oh, yes.
>> Let's say, they talk about pacing or content or whatever.
>> Then I try to address the next time that I set that class up.
So, I will change whatever that assignment was and try to address whatever it was
that wasn't working the first time.
>> So, it's sort of a continual process?
>> Uh-hum, absolutely.
So, if students aren't happy with a particular aspect of things,
then I work on that the next time.
