Hey there, we are talking about researching for your great speech that you're going to
deliver. And I have a question for you. Have you caught the news lately? Yeah, a lot of
people don't like to watch the news but I'm here to tell you that the news is a great
source of information for your speech. Especially when you get into topics of persuasion. There's
a whole lot of news outlets for you, to find information from. First of all, you've got
newspapers, and then you've got newspaper indexes. Where you can look through on a micro
fish and find out what's in what paper, without having to go through every single paper. You've
got electronic newspaper databases, basically the same thing. Type in what you're looking
for and see if it exists somewhere. And I guarantee you that it does. Something really
cool that you'll find online is news online sites, like CNN.com. Those are great resources
to get information. Especially about your hot button topics and those websites, they
list information from quite awhile back. So don't discount the news as a great place to
find information for your speech.
