this corrugated fan is easy to make and spins very fast. you need a paper cup, a bicycle
spoke, a card strip which is 5cm wide and 60cm long. now fold fan folds in the entire
length of this card strip. each crease will be about 1.5cm wide. once you fold this entire
sheet and open it up. it will look like a corrugated sheet. then you take a press button
and you need just the left part of it which is a pip. make a small hole in the base of
the paper cup and then take the small pip of the press button and glue it in the base
of the cup. this will form the pivot on which whole fan will rotate. this is the view from
inside and the pip coming out. now apply rubber glue to the rim of the paper cup and wait
for a while for the glue to dry. and also take the corrugated sheet and join it together
like a ring. place the ring on the paper cup and stick it to the paper cup. this is the
inside view and this is the view from the top, the pip coming out. now cut about 1.5cm
of the strip, cut it in a slant and remove a small portion. this you do for all the corrugations.
remaining part that pops below are the blades and you need to twist every blade to convert
it into a fan blade. these are the fan blades at the bottom. it looks extremely beautiful
almost like a flower. then take a small card strip with a hole in the middle, apply glue
to both ends of the strip and glue it inside the glass. this will provide another support
for the axle. finally take a bicycle spoke and poke it through the hole in the strip
and perch it on the press button and if you place this under a ceiling fan, air from the
fan will strike the blades of the propeller and it will spin round and round. of course
you can decorate it with color tape. this is the bottom view of the spinner, corrugated
fan, a cup fan. its extremely elegant and finally you can mount the base of the bicycle
spoke on a stand made from a lid and rubber base. if a child blows on it, the cup spins.
