This is going to be sit pretty and what you want with sit pretty is to get them to go
up on their hind quarters. With bigger dogs this is a little bit more difficult but you
can use a wall so they don't tip over, some dogs you can just kind of teeter totter in
to it. This is also something that's really good to exercise your dogs core muscles so
if you have a dog that's in agility or in any kind of sporting event you can get their
muscles and their core all warmed up. How you would start this would basically get a
nice "sit" and then take your treat and lift it over their head, you want to see the feet
come off the ground. You want to take them little steps tell them "pretty" "good boy."
As they get good at it you can start getting it a little bit further over their head and
with the big dogs they tend to tip a little bit. "sit, good boy." Then you can add a hand
signal. A hand signal can be anything like this "good boy" then you hold it there and
you get a "stay." If you want to take it to the next level and get a little bit of a stretch
over it you can get a "sit pretty" and bring them up and that gets a little bit of an exercise
in to it for you.
