(PART 4) Next, I'm going to crochet into the back of each chain I made for the second eye-hole.
It's going to be pretty much the same as the first eye hole, but in reverse.
So I'm going to double crochet 1 using black, change colors to white.
Then double crochet 9 using white before changing colors to black.
Now I'm going to do my 1 double crochet using black, and change colors to white.
Then double crochet 7 using white.
And change colors to black.
Double crochet 1 using black into the same chain as the last stitch.
And now I've gone around both eyes.
Later on, I'm going to come back to this spot, and do another row on these loops I left open
around the eye hole to make it a bit smaller.
So now I'm going to continue using black, I'm going to double crochet 5 using black
into the area next to this eye, and then change colors to white.
Now I'm going to double crochet 16 using white before I change colors to black.
Double crochet 1 using black, change colors to white.
So now, here at the back of the head, I'm going to decrease a few times.
First I'm going to double crochet 4 using white.
Then I'm going to decrease.
(So to decrease, I'm going to yarn over, pull up a loop.
And then pull a loop through 2 loops on my hook.
Then I'm going to yarn over again, pull up another loop, and pull a loop through 2 of
the loops on my hook.
And then I'm going to crochet those stitches together.)
So now I'm going to double crochet 3.
And then, once again, I'm going to decrease 1, so yarn over, pull up a loop.
Pull through 2.
Yarn over, pull up a loop.
Pull through 2.
And then pull a loop through all 3 loops on my hook.
Then I'm going to double crochet 4.
And decrease 1 more.
And then I'm just going to double crochet 4 before changing colors to black.
So I've changed colors to black, now I'm going to double crochet 1 using black, and change
colors to white.
And now I'm going to double crochet 20 using white, and after these 20 stitches, I'm going
to decrease 1.
So I've finished with 20 stitches of double crochet using white, now I'm going to decrease
1 here at this corner next to the eye.
And now, I'm going to double crochet 7 using white before changing colors to black.
Ok here at the 7th white stitch, I'm going to change colors using a new black strand.
And double crochet 1 using black.
Change colors to white.
Now I'm going to double crochet 2 using white, then I'm going to make a chain to create the
nose hole.
Ok, to make the nose-hole, I'm going to chain 8 to create the bottom of the nose.
Then I'm going to skip 19 stitches to create the sides of the nose.
Now I'm going to double crochet into each of the next 2 stitches after my skipped stitches.
And at the 2nd stitch, I'm going to change colors to black using another new strand.
And when I get to this spot where these two shorter strands are, I'm going to crochet
over them and cut them off.
Now double crochet 1 using black and change colors to white.
Now I'm going to double crochet 4 more, and then I'm going to decrease a couple of times.
Ok, I've done 4 more double crochets, now I'm going to decrease 2 times at the corner
next to the the other eye.
So yarn over, pull up a loop, pull through 2, then again in the next stitch, yarn over
and pull up a loop, pull through 2.
Then pull through 3.
And then decrease 1 more time.
Ok, now I'm going to double crochet 21 more using white before changing colors to black,
but I'm also going to crochet over these short strands to end them.
Then I'm going to cut off these strands.
Ok, I've change colors, now I'm going to double crochet 1 using black, and change colors to
white.
And now here at the back of the head I'm going to decrease a few more times.
So first I'm going to double crochet 5.
Then I'm going to decrease 1.
Next I'm going to double crochet 4.
Then decrease 1 again.
And then double crochet 5.
Then on the 5th stitch, I'm going to change colors to black.
Double crochet 1 using black, and change colors to white.
Then I'm going to double crochet 19 using white before I do another couple of decreases
at the corner of the eye.
Now I've finished with 19 double crochets using white, so now I'm going to decrease
2; So I've done my 2 decreases, now I'm going to double crochet 4 more using white, then
I'm going to change colors to black.
And then double crochet 2 using black.
Change colors to white.
Double crochet 2 more using white, and then I'm going to work into the chain I made in
the previous row.
Once again I'm going to work on the loop behind the chains, just like I did at the eyes, so
that I can crochet on these front loops later.
So I'm going to double crochet into the back of each of the 8 chain stitches.
Alright, I've finished my 8 double crochet stitches into the chain, so now I'm going
to double crochet 2 more using white before changing colors to black.
Ok, I've changed colors, now I'm going to double crochet 2 using black.
Change colors to white.
And now, I'm going to double crochet 4 using white before I decrease a couple of times.
Ok, I've done 4 more double crochet stitches using white, now I'm going to decrease 2.
And now I'm going to double crochet 8 more using white.
And after the 8th stitch, I'm going to stop working in the round.
Ok I've finished with 8 more double crochet stitches using white.
Before I go on, I'm going to cut off the black yarn strands at the back of the head, because
I won't need them anymore.
I'm just going to leave a short tail so I can crochet over it later.
Now I've reached the end of this row, so to begin, I'm going to chain 2, and that is going
to count as my 1st stitch.
And I'm going to turn my work.
Then I'm going to double crochet 7 more before I do a couple of decreases.
Ok, now I'm going to decrease 2.
Then I'm going to double crochet 1 more using white, and change colors to black.
Then double crochet 2 using black, and change colors to white.
And then I'm going to double crochet 14 using white before changing colors to black.
Now double crochet 2 using black, and change colors to white.
And now, I'm going to double crochet 1 using white then decrease 2.
Ok, I'm done with my decreases.
Now I'm going to double crochet 8 more using white.
And that is going to end this row.
I've reached the end of my row.
Once again to begin my next row I'm going to chain 2, which will count as 1st stitch
of this row.
I'm going to turn my work, and double crochet 6 using white before change colors to black.
Ok, I've changed colors.
And now, using black, I'm going to decrease 1.
And then double crochet 3 more using black before I change colors to white.
Ok.
Next I'm going to double crochet 16 using white before changing colors to black.
And now I'm going to do the same thing I did with the black stitches on the opposite side
of the face, but in reverse.
I'm going to double crochet 3 using black.
Then I'm going to decrease 1.
And change colors to white by finishing that decrease using white.
Next double crochet 7 using white until the end of the row.
Now once again, in this next row I'm going to chain up for the 1st stitch of the row,
but this time I'm going to do the row using single crochet stitches, so I'm just going
to chain 1 for my 1st stitch.
Then I'm going to single crochet 5 more using white before changing colors to black.
And now I'm going to single crochet 2 using black.
And change colors to white.
Then I'm going to single crochet 5.
And after the 5th single crochet, I'm going to increase.
(So to increase, I'm just going to single crochet 2 times in the same stitch.)
Then I'm going to single crochet 10 more before increasing again.
Alright I've finished with 10 stitches, now I'm going to increase.
And now I'm going to single crochet 5 more before changing colors.
Ok, I've changed colors to black.
Now I'm going to single crochet 2 using black, change colors to white.
Then I'm going to single crochet 6 using white.
And this is going to be the end of this part of the skull, so I'm going to fasten this
end off.
So I'm going to chain 1.
And cut off my yarn.
