I greet you, beautiful creatures! I overs broadcasts - Tatyana Kilinskaya
and today I'll show you how I make henna paste
The matter is that I'm often asked how I get such thin neat lines
Besides practice, an important factor is the henna powder and consistency of paste
we need for the making henna paste:
henna powder. I use Rajasthani henna
its consistency and properties best suited for drawing my mehendi.
blah blah blah (it does not matter what I'm talking about now) =)
we need the lemon juice. fresh or bottled.
fructose!
why I do not use honey or sugar?
whith honey I do not like the consistency of henna paste.
instead of sugar I use fructose because it requires less
the fact that the more sugar you put in henna, the worse the stain. we don't need it
the fact that the more sugar you put in henna, the worse the stain. we don't need it
for color, we add essential oils. I add tea tree oil and orange.
if you draw on pregnant women, children or people with sensitive skin
it is best to use lavender oil. it is gentle and non-allergenic.
begin the process of cooking henna paste!
henna usually need sifting, because coarse particles can be caught.
which then clog the cone, which leads to some inconvenience when we drawing.
this henna shallow and does not require sifting, but I'll sift henna to show you how I do it.
for this we need the old socks or tights, thing like this :Р to use it as a sieve
for this we need the old socks or tights, thing like this :Р to use it as a sieve
can be made from a thick paper or cardboard.
tape and scissors.
and now seeing...
our sieve is ready
I have here 3 teaspoons of henna with a slide.
and that such movements are starting to sift our henna leading spoon inside the sieve.
We sifted our henna in a sieve almost nothing left
Here is the sifted henna
add the lemon juice!
I have here three teaspoons of henna, to start adding 5-6 tablespoons of juice (I added 5)
henna is recommended to mix the wooden and plastic spoon
we did not have enough juice, add the same amount (I added 3 tablespoons)
Henna is still too thick, add another spoon of lemon juice.
juice gradually add a little bit, consistency for the first time should not be liquid.
we have yet to add fructose and essential oils
mixing henna very well! and blah blah blah =)
currently enough lemon juice, henna stringy
add fructose! 3 teaspoons of henna with slide add one teaspoon of fructose without slides!
Henna itself stringy, so add very little fructose
saccharides are necessary not only for the ductility of henna, but drawing less then crack or not crack at all
Henna loves when her well mixing so mix well.)
add essential oil
to 3 teaspoons of henna add 30 drops. 20 drops of tea tree oil and 10 drops of orange oil
henna consistency such that it is quite stringy but not too runny, with a spoon will not fall just so.
at this stage, the consistency is right, add nothing else
cover with henna and give her brew.
Cover with food film henna, henna paste touching. as little as possible to have access to oxygen.
our paste is ready. leave it for 12-15 hours in a dry, warm place.
So friends, it took about 18 hours and now we'll see what happens to our henna.
beginning to learn whether the henna to give pigment we'll take a bit of the top layer.
the top layer should be darker than the layer beneath it
where we removed the layer there henna greener, the top layer is darker and has a brown color.
I want to add a little more fructose. one more spoon.
give henna brew a few more hours.
our henna stood about 4 hours, check the consistency and do the test on the skin.
the color of the upper layer and the lower back are different.
henna paste is not liquid, spoon stands. but henna paste is mixed easily hand does not get tired
do stain test. we put a toothpick henna on the skin and leave to dry for a few minutes
it took about 4 minutes. Henna has dried. remove it and see whether there is a orange color.
Rajasthani henna gives a not very bright orange color on my skin, but stain is good, our henna is ready to use.
