As you begin your journey through Waiting.com, the best place for you to start may be what
we call the bridge from despair. This is that portion of Waiting.com where the greatest
contributions came from those people like you, the people we worked with in putting
this page together. It is a collection of their stories, a collection of the experiences
they went through and a collection of what they felt it was important that you know as
you go through this. It is their effort to reach out to you who are in the waiting room
now. As my friend who started this project said, when she left the waiting room after
her husband had been discharged, at that time, a new family was coming in. A family who had
just had this tragic news of a brain injury and a coma laid upon them. And, as she walked
out the door, she said to herself it was happening all over again, and that was her motivation
to create this page. And, it's the motivation of those people whose stories are on the bridge
from despair, and we think that would be a good place for you to start.
