So spring is just around the corner, and trust me, I can't wait. But there's a few weeks
of winter left and so I thought I would show you guys how I dress and how I layer for cold
weather running. The outfit I'm going to show you works for about 20 to 35 degrees fahrenheit
and is going to keep you warm and comfortable. Don't forget to always have fun when you run,
that's what it's all about and also remember that there's no bad weather, only bad dressers,
so get your gear on and let's go for a run!
For running shoes, I am wearing Mizuno Wave Riders and for socks I'm wearing Balega low
cut socks, and they work for all but the absolute coldest of weather. For tights I'm wearing
New Balance technical tights. I've had these for probably almost ten years and they work
really good so if you invest in a good pair of tights, you can have them for a long time.
On top I start by layering with a sports bra. This is a Champion sports bra. I wear the
yoga-style bra, but fitted really tight because I have a small bust and I can kind of get
away with that. That's what's most comfortable for me, and that's what I wear.
Over that, I layer an Asics technical shirt. I got this one for participating in a race
series, and it still works great. Over that, I have a shirt by Mont-Bell, it's a technical
base layer, it's actually a guy's shirt and it's super comfortable and light weight. Finally,
I have a vest by Pearl Izumi. It's windproof and it has a nice high neck to keep my neck
warm. If it's any colder I will add a gaiter, but otherwise this vest works really well.
On my head I wear a hat to keep all my warmth in, and if gets a little warmer, I do remove
the hat. Finally, I'm going to put on some lip balm. This is a lip balm by Joshua Tree
that has SPF in it, to keep my lips nice and protected. Another option would be to wear
a headband-style ear cover, which may look a little cute than the hat.
Last but not least I'm wearing some glove liners from EMS. I find that glove liners
work perfectly for running. You generate a lot of heat so you don't need a huge glove.
So that's the complete look from head to toe and that is how I layer for running in the
cold weather. I want to say thank you so much for watching. If you enjoyed this video, please
