Hi, Lynn Huber here. Today we?re on Tip #3 of How to be a Master Networker.
So tip #3 is very simple? it?s Engaging.
It?s engaging when you go to a networking event, whether it?s an online event or
a physical event. Engaging means actually getting out there.
So let?s say that you?re at an event, and there?s a meet & greet before the
event? Remember you?re prepared because you prepared in tip #2. You?ve got
your business cards? you?re talking to people? you?re shaking hands and
smiling. You?re engaging with people. You?re asking them about them. You?re
just being out there instead of being a wall-flower on the side of the room.
I know that sometimes that can be a little intimidating but what you have to
realize is that everyone who goes to these events are there for one reason?
they?re there to network. Now the same thing can happen on an online event. If
there is a chat available you can engage with people. Same thing with Facebook
? you engage with people? like their comments, follow them, ask them
questions. You just want to be a very outgoing and engaging person.
So that?s tip #3 in How to be a Master Networker. You really want to be
engaged, because here?s what happens? People are attracted to the person
that is engaging, the person who speaks up, the person that talks, the person
that cares? People are attracted to that and when you network, people will
automatically want to network with you.
So that?s it for tip #3. I?m Lynn Huber, and Thanks for spending a few minutes
with me today. Stay tuned tomorrow for Tip #4. Have a great day!
