What's the difference between on- and off-camera flash?
We're here in the Japanese Friendship Gardens and we're taking a picture
of a ring bearer peeking in on the rings.
We're using on camera fill flash with the B2 flash,
and then we're going to compare it to off-camera.
So, here we go!
Perfect! Now let's see what it looks like with an off-camera flash.
So we're doing an off-camera situation. You can see that we've taken the light
from off the camera and we moved it over to here.
We have it on a stand,
You can of course have an assistant holding this wherever you want at any time
but we're just putting it on a stand, and you can see that we've got barndoors on this flash
in order to keep it from hitting this tree
because we don't want to have this tree to lit.
So let's take this shot!
Jackson? Be ready, let's do it!
Good!
Perfect.
And it changes everything once we take that flash and move it off camera.
