TABOU TMF >> Once again its Tabou TMF aka Undefinable One and we here live at Basha studios in New York City.
TABOU TMF >> I'm here with Fatiah Rebbekkah and Joe Love and a whole bunch of other people were enjoying the night.
TABOU TMF >> Fatiah get back over here I wasn't finished with you. You know we canĂt be finished with you that easy. [Laughter]
TABOU TMF >> Okay so now, you outta Brooklyn you've been doing the stylist,
TABOU TMF >> What made you wanna become a stylist? Like, how did it start?
FATIAH REBBEKKAH >> I love that question! I always want to be a designer since I was a little girl.
FATIAH REBBEKKAH >> But I actually got a gig, being a dresser for Davids Bridal
FATIAH REBBEKKAH >> and I got to see this woman putting together all the gowns and the hats with the gloves and all the necklaces,
FATIAH REBBEKKAH >> and I said what does she do ? And they said she's the head stylist and I felt like whoa!
FATIAH REBBEKKAH >> I thought the designer had the power. She got the power.. and I'm a power hungry Na, I'm kidding,
FATIAH REBBEKKAH >> I'm not power hungry [Laughter] But, I wanted to really express myself and
FATIAH REBBEKKAH >> have the final say in what's the feel of look, and that's actually what the stylist does.
FATIAH REBBEKKAH >> So then I reached out to as many people as possible and Jessica Bobince, Google her.
FATIAH REBBEKKAH >> She's a mind behind a lot of Nylon stuff. The mind behind a lot of amazing covers.
FATIAH REBBEKKAH >> She gave me my first shot to intern under her and it just went from there.
TABOU TMF >> Okay wow, cool. I love your passion.
FATIAH REBBEKKAH >> Thank you so much.
TABOU TMF >> It projects and it shows and we actually was trying to make your event last year your launch.
TABOU TMF >> So how is your line Jacob Taylor been going?
FATIAH REBBEKKAH >> It's been going very slow. Only because we realized like you know
FATIAH REBBEKKAH >> I think I can dominate everything It's just my personality I'm hungry.
FATIAH REBBEKKAH >> And then I really realized and gained so much more respect for designers because it's a 24 hour job.
FATIAH REBBEKKAH >> and I already am a full time stylist so... and its just me and my partner Destiny Charm
FATIAH REBBEKKAH >> and it was just, more than what we thought it was. So we've regrouped, re-branded
FATIAH REBBEKKAH >> we decided to open a boutique where we can hold other brands, as well as our own so
FATIAH REBBEKKAH >> It allowed us too, drop a collection, every other season, where it can just flow better.
FATIAH REBBEKKAH >> And we can definitely have better business, because were holding other things besides our own.
TABOU TMF >> So is the boutique open already?
FATIAH REBBEKKAH >> Yes it is.
TABOU TMF >> Where is it at?
FATIAH REBBEKKAH >> Online, cause we not crazy. Having a storefront is a terrible idea
FATIAH REBBEKKAH >> when you're just starting a company... You know I've learned like what is it?
FATIAH REBBEKKAH >> 90 percent of businesses fail, like the first five years, so we just definitely didn't wanna dive in
FATIAH REBBEKKAH >> We want to just build that momentum get that following that's consistent.
FATIAH REBBEKKAH >>And then were going to open up that storefront. Gotta be smart young women.
TABOU TMF >> Definitely a smart move. You know in these days and times that's one of the best things to do.
TABOU TMF >> cause nowadays we have the online and we have the media world it's totally different than before.
FATIAH REBBEKKAH >> Yes... So many people said online is so much smarter, cause it's like
FATIAH REBBEKKAH >> How many people wanna get up and leave like you can just sit there and honestly just
FATIAH REBBEKKAH >> and then were stylist a lot of women often ask me and Destiny oh what should I wear?
FATIAH REBBEKKAH >> what should I wear? And it's annoying because that's free consultations.
FATIAH REBBEKKAH >> So now, were picking clothes for different women, different body shapes.
FATIAH REBBEKKAH >> where you can speak with us and have your own stylist, give you your wardrobe
FATIAH REBBEKKAH >> and pick your pieces for you, almost like Shoe Dazzle.
TABOU TMF >> Okay that's cool, that's cool So now if people wanna get in contact with you how can they reach you?
FATIAH REBBEKKAH >> I'm not gonna be cocky but you can contact me at jacobtaylorbrand [at] gmail.com
FATIAH REBBEKKAH >> which is easiest because there's tons of people who access that.
FATIAH REBBEKKAH >> But if you wanna talk to me and I'm on my email everyday, you email bookfatiahrebbekah [at] gmail.com
FATIAH REBBEKKAH >> Imma spell my name and its bout to be a lot for you, I'm so sorry my mama did this.

TABOU TMF >> Maybe you can get Joe to sing that!

FATIAH REBBEKKAH >> She was my assistant, that's what she was and if you ever see us next to each other,
FATIAH REBBEKKAH >> we finish each others sentence, we're the same brain, and we became very close.
FATIAH REBBEKKAH >> I've know her sister who I was best friends with for years and
FATIAH REBBEKKAH >> She shared her passion with me and I was like lets do it together.
FATIAH REBBEKKAH >> Like I'm open, I'm never a closed book and won't let nobody in. I think all yall women need to win and do something
FATIAH REBBEKKAH >> that matters, you know what I mean? Be a good mentor and an advocate and somebody to look up too.
FATIAH REBBEKKAH >> It's important.
TABOU TMF >> Definitely, definitely. Like I said before we love your passion.
TABOU TMF >>it's something that exudes from you. As an entrepreneur, I myself can tell that you're doing ya thing.
