Hi, this is Sarah with RealTruck.com. We are at the SEMA Show and right now I'm talking
with Steve Kelley at Extang, he's going to show us the Encore, so show away Steve.
Thanks, Sarah.
Uh, the Encore is a product we introduced last year here at the SEMA Show. It's a hard
tri-folding tonneau cover, it's nice and low profile so it's gives a great-looking style
on your vehicle and it gives incredible functionality.
It folds from the rear, and all you have to do is pull the tailgate down, pull on this
cable, and it disengages the rear latches, and just this quickly, you've got room for
large items to go into the bed or room for you to crawl up into the bed to get things.
Um, it can go down the road safely be attaching these, uh, retention straps and clips so you
can use it in the open mode.
Um, the other cool thing about this cover, Sarah, is that it opens from the front if
you need to get something out of the front of your bed. So the front panel will also
fold back, uh, permitting you to literally gain access all the way back to the very middle
of the bed of the truck regardless of the length of your bed, and pull large items in
and out of the truck bed. Pretty cool.
Nice.
Here's the cool thing, that's just launched on Encore. While the cover has been out for
a year, we are now going to launch the BOLT lock on this. This means that to lock this
uh, front panel down you can use your factory ignition key. So this is via codeable cylinder.
The first time you install this, you'll put the factory ignition key in, twist it halfway,
and now it's coded for the factory key so you use one key to lock this, the same key
to lock your tailgate and now you've secured your cargo. Pretty cool hu?
That kind of just blew my mind, I'm going to be honest with you. It's pretty cool.
Yeah, breakthrough one-key lock technology, so.
Nice.
We're very happy to introduce this. Added value, no change in price, just more features,
so.
Well, that's pretty darn good. Well, thank you Steve, thank you for your time.
Thank you Sarah.
