Hello. I'm Donna Beth Joy Shapiro on behalf of Expert Village, and today I'm going to
show you how to iron a pair of jeans. And so, when you go to crease your pair of pants,
you want to line up the four seams. Because, what's going to happen when you iron is, you're
going to see the rest of the seam that doesn't line up, you don't quite hit your mark. So,
give it a spray with the starch. Again, I'm using heavy starch. I've got my iron set to
the hottest temperature. I've got the steam function on and these jeans are not very good
because I just ironed them. A crease makes the pants look even dressier, and so with
a nice dress shirt, these will look very great. A badly creased pair of pants....(by badly
creased, I mean that you see the ghosts of the seam underneath) it's just not worth taking
the time to iron a pair of pants, if you aren't going to get it right. I'm going to make sure
you don't have all this extra fabric on the other side. Alright, now the last step that
you don't necessarily have to do, because as you can see the crease went all the way
through (it ironed all the way through) is to iron the back side. Make sure that those
pockets are all the way out. Take the crease up about as far as you can. I'm just going
to hit it with a little starch and set that crease. Again, I'm not ironing over the four
seams. There's really no reason to do it, and if you don't have those four seams lined
up, you are definitely going to see the ghost.
