Hi, this is Taryn from Soomo Publishing
and I'd like to take you on a walk through of our Psychology webtext.
The first screen is the table of contents.
Progress bars next to each of the chapters fill up with red as the student completes
work.
When you click into a chapter
you'll see a splash screen with a brief description of the chapter.
Navigating is easy.
At the top and bottom of each page are Next and Back buttons.
There's also a dropdown menu that tells you what page you're on and allows you to
skip to other pages in the chapter.
Standard reading tools are built into the webtext
such as highlighting,
note-taking,
and rollover vocabulary terms.
There are two interactive features throughout the webtext.
The first is Get the Gist study questions.
They appear at the bottom of every presentation page
and check student comprehension of the content on that page.
Students get immediate feedback as soon as they answer a question
and they're able to reset these questions to try again or study for tests.
The second interactive feature we're going to look at is Assignments.
These are listed in italics in the drop down menu.
All Assignments have multimedia content on the left such as audio and video
and questions on the right.
Students get immediate feedback but they can't be reset.
Student work is recorded in the Notebook, which they can also access.
Instructors can view the progress of the whole class in Analytics.
