Hi, Daniel Harkavy here. Welcome to this week’s Leadership Moment. The essential ingredients
to have effective meetings. There are four specific essential ingredients that I think
if you put into your meetings can definitely help you. The first is, have a clearly defined
desired end result. What is it that you want the meeting to drive towards? The second is,
have the right people in the room. The third is, with those people you want to work to
have a high level of trust so that all can weigh in, you want to give them that opportunity
and engage in healthy conflict. And the fourth is, when the meeting ends, and this is a big
one for many, make sure you end the meeting with very clear closure. Who is going to do
what? By when? How? If you include these four essential ingredients I am absolutely confident
that overall effectiveness of your meetings and then your results will improve. Those
are the essential meeting ingredients.
