Amy Poehler: Hi, I'm Amy Poehler.
Welcome to another episode of West Wing Week.
Narrator: Welcome to the West Wing Week,
your guide to everything that's happening at 1600
Pennsylvania Avenue and beyond.
This week, the President announced two new
manufacturing hubs and his "My Brother's Keeper"
initiative; toured a new light rail system
in St. Paul, Minnesota; and spoke on the importance
of supporting American infrastructure jobs.
The First Lady celebrated the 4th Anniversary
of her "Let's Move!"
initiative with both Will Ferrell and Amy Poehler,
while the Vice President kicked
off the inaugural episode of Late Night with Seth Meyers.
That's February 21st to February 27th,
or "I Am My Brother's Keeper."
Like many health-minded Americans, the President
and Vice President kicked off their week with a jog
around the White House as part
of a video promoting
the "Let's Move!" initiative.
Meanwhile, in celebration
of the 4th Anniversary of "Let's Move!"
the First Lady and Will Ferrell hosted
a "Let's Move!"
focus group with young kids to ask them about
eating healthy and staying active.
The First Lady: Tell me, what kind of music
do you like to dance to?
Male Speaker: My favorite is Body Moving.
The First Lady: Body Moving?
Narrator: Body moving, body moving, A-1 sound,
sound so soothing.
The First Lady: This is good.
Body moving.
Da da da
Will Ferrell: DJ, DJ, DJ --
(laughter)
Narrator: Over the weekend, and again
on Monday, governors from across the nation gathered
in Washington, D.C.
for the 2014 National Governor's Association winter meeting.
Meanwhile, just up the east coast,
the Vice President appeared on Late Night with Seth Meyers,
alongside Amy Poehler.
He came bearing gifts.
Seth Meyers: Oh, this is the best.
The Vice President: We got you.
And -- got you your own whistle, man.
Seth Meyers: Oh, this is unbelieveable.
The Vice President: Now, I was going to give you
mine, but I'm keeping this one.
So, we got you --
Seth Meyers: That's okay.
The Vice President: We got you your own.
Seth Meyers: Thank you very much.
The Vice President: And she said, "I want a
picture of that."
Amy Poehler: (laughs)
The Vice President: And so, here, I said --
Amy Poehler: This is amazing.
"Amy, where have you been?
You don't call me anymore."
The Vice President: That's right.
That means you got to call me.
(laughter)
Narrator: Tuesday marked the 4th Anniversary of the
First Lady's "Let's Move!"
initiative where she announced new commitments
by the National Recreational Park Association
and the Boys & Girls Club of America
to create healthy environments for children
in their out-of-school programs.
The event was held in a local recreation center
where the star of Parks and Recreation,
Amy Poehler, made another West Wing Week appearance.
Amy Poehler: -- and it's especially exciting for me
to learn that if you play a character with a certain
career long enough, people will treat you as if you
actually have that job.
Male Speaker: Back at the White House, the President
announced new steps to partner with the private
sector to boost manufacturing,
creating a Detroit-area manufacturing hub
to focus on advancing
lightweight metals manufacturing,
and another hub in Chicago focused
on digital manufacturing and design technology.
The President: Basically, I'm here to announce that
we're building Iron Man.
I'm going to blast off in a second.
(laughter)
We've been -- this has been a secret project
we've been working on for a long time.
(laughter)
Not really.
(laughter)
Maybe.
(laughter)
It's classified.
Narrator: On Wednesday, the President traveled to
Minneapolis' Twin City, St. Paul, Minnesota, where
he toured a metro-transit Light Rail maintenance
facility at Union Depot.
The President: Man, it's got the new-car smell.
Strap hanger.
Listen, I used to ride the subway.
I lived in New York City, so -- no, I'd be taking it
if I was living here just want you to know.
Male Speaker: Good.
Well --
The President: Congratulations.
Male Speaker: And number two.
There's the first honorary green light ticket for
you, Mr. President.
Narrator: And now, we'll go to our special
correspondent, Josh Earnest, who traveled with
the President to St. Paul for the event.
Josh Earnest: After the tour, and after the
President got an inside look at one of the rail
cars, the President traveled here to the Union
Depot to talk about the importance of investing in
infrastructure and how investing in
infrastructure can not just create jobs in the
short term, but also strengthen our economy
over the long term.
The President: We can't wait.
We got to move.
We got to get things going.
(applause)
Too many families are counting on it.
And one of the fastest and best ways to create good
jobs is by rebuilding America's infrastructure
-- our roads, our bridges, our rails, our ports, our
airports, our schools, our power grids.
(applause)
We've got a lot of work to do out there.
And we got to put folks to work.
Narrator: Meanwhile, back at the White House,
the Vice President held a series of conference calls
with Americans from across the country to discuss
the Affordable Care Act.
And remember, to get covered,
go to healthcare.gov.
On Thursday, the President unveiled his new "My
Brother's Keeper" initiative, taking action
with foundations, businesses, and others to
make sure that every young man of color who
is willing to work hard and lift himself up has
an opportunity to get ahead
and reach his full potential.
The President: And the point was, I could see
myself in these young men.
And the only difference is that I grew
up in an environment that was a little bit more forgiving.
And I told these young men my story then.
And I repeat it now because I firmly believe
that every child deserves the same chances
that I had.
And that's why we're here today, to do what
we can in this year of action to give more young Americans
the support they need to make good choices,
and to be resilient, and to overcome obstacles
and achieve their dreams.
Narrator: There it is.

Brian Mosteller: -- robotic arm.
And that's the 3D printer.
The President: Okay.
Brian Mosteller: So, don't impale yourself.
Other than that, you're good.
The President: All right.
I won't impale myself.
(laughter)
I don't -- I'm not sure I could actually impale myself.
I mean, I'd have to be, like --
Brian Mosteller: Be a big --
The President: Impaling is hard to do.
Yeah.
Unless your, like, falling from
a building or something.
Or you're jousting.
Which, I don't -- I don't -- I don't joust is --
