Okay so this is Henry Westons 2013 Vintage cider. There it says 'ESTB 1880', it's 500ml,
the alc is 8.2%, and it says 'Oak aged Herefordshire cider', and I guess that's Henry Weston himself.
This cost me about £1.50, usually it sells for about £2. And let's see what it says
on the back, 'A distinguished special reserve medium dry sparkling cider', and it's got
a discription onthe back there, I'm not gonna read it all out. Looks like it may have won
a reward... an award I mean, 'Protected geographical indication', not sure what that means, but
it doesn't sound like an award. If it hasn't won any awards I'm pretty suprised becaue
it's a really really nice cider, so let's crack this open. If the glass looks a bit
dirty it's because I've been drinking Guinness out of it, I've just basically quickly rinsed
it for this video. Well even if I wasn't doing this video I'd still rinse it anyway, cos
if I've been drinking a particular beer, and then I want to drink something different,
I'll rinse out the glass before hand so it doesn't have the taste/remnants of the older
drink in it, if you know what I mean. We'll put that down there actually. So there it
is... so let's see what it smells like... smells really really nice... it's hard to
describe the smell, it does have a distinctive smell... kinda reminds me of Old English cider.
Old English cider, I remember how I'd sometimes drink it in the 80's and it tasted really
really nice, but I've tried it recently and it just doesn't seem to taste the same, it
just seems to taste really really sweet now. But let's give this a try anyway... that's
beautiful, it atstes pretty much like how Old English cider used to taste back in the
80's, only it does seem to have more of a stronger alcoholic taste, and that's because
it is basically more alcoholic than what Old English cider was or still is, Old English
cider I think it's kinda low the alcohol, I think it's around 3% or something. And this
is not that fizzy either, Old English cider was pretty fizzy, but this... it's not that
fizzy at all, it's kind of almost still, and it does basically say on this that it's sparkling,
sparkling is a better description for it rather than fizzy. But yeah it tastes really nice,
and yeah I mean if you want a strong cider then I definatley recommend this one, it's
tastes really really nice, and it's not that expensive either. So yeah, that's pretty much
it, thanks for watching.
