We're now ready to align the trailer with the vehicle that we want to load onto the
trailer. Just a couple tips that make it a little easier for you if you haven't done
a lot of hauling, backing up with trailers, maneuvering, things of that nature, I always
try to start out and have the trailer and the Pickup straight in line with the car that
we're going to load onto the trailer, if at all possible. That way it makes it a lot easier,
we don't have to do a lot of turning when you're backing up. Because when you are backing
up, if we turn the wheel to the right the trailer's going to go to the left. If we turn
the wheel to the left, the trailer's going to go to the right. So the best thing you
can do, if it's possible with the conditions, have the trailer and the truck as straight
as possible, so you can back in a straight line up to the vehicle you're loading and
just take your time. If it starts to go the wrong way, you can always pull ahead and straighten
it out or turn the wheel the opposite way and ease it back.
