- You guys just wrapped filming for BODYJAM 65; how do you feel?
- I'm exhausted. - That was massive.
- That was mental, crazy mental. - Totally amazing class and the vibe
on filming day, like you can't even compare it.
We do all the lead up classes at Auckland city, Les Mills,
and we teach and put them out as well, and it's always awesome, but
there's something that happens on filming day,
you know they're like the people in the croud, they're like, it's energetic, it's like sizzling
in your skin... and so you just look at the croud and
just like eye contact, and the room goes: "POW!", you know?!
- Amazing, amazing audience, unreal audience.
- What would you say that you guys do to creates the energy?
What's that all about? - I think we bounce off each other
quite a bit. We've know each other for a long time...
- Taught together for a long time... - Yeah, yeah, so...
- I mean, I'm talking and he... I'm just going to leave space in the music,
and he knows there's space there, and he'll just say something real simple
and throw it in there and then I'll cue the next move, and it's kind of like just
a non-written agreement that we have that we can bounce off each other
really freely. And we've never done this before, that is the first time we've
done it on BODYJAM 65. So, it is really kind of... I just wanted
to capture, like, a real pure energy, not filmed, not filming day...
- Not scripted... - This is not scripted, and like
just him and I teaching, on a Tuesday you know?
- It's what we do. It's just what we do on a Tuesday.
Nothing different. - And we totally nailed it; it totally just
felt... It felt fresh. It felt super fresh.
- Well it looked like you nailed your workout, you guys are both dripping in sweat...
- Yeah I just finished the class and we entered a wet t-shirt competition,
and I only came third. - Awh...
- Third place for this. - What about the moves?
- Yeah? - The moves are awesome.
- The moves are insane. I mean you guys were doing some
crazy cool afro moves, and... - The music's like all tribal in places,
and then it's all dance hall, straight dance hall,
there's this new track called "Heatwave", it was number one in the U.K.,
and then the second half you just kinda got heavy hitter after heavy hitter.
The music is just anthemous, like hardcore, progressive house music and
the room just goes crazy. 128 BPM! All you need is 128 BMP.
Push it up to 130, just a little bit faster, the room goes nuts.
- All I'm going to say is we throw it down. We litterally throw down.
- Yeah, I threw up in my mouth - Yeah, just a little bit...
- That's crazy. Chris, what was your favourite part?
- It was just what I was telling you, the throw down, crazy move,
awesome move, can't wait for you guys to see it, can't wait 'till you get to do
it. - He does the move, and I just
stand in the background... [beatboxing] [clap-clap]
and the room goes crazy. - It was insane. Well guys, you
rocked it, and I'm so happy you just took a few minutes to talk to us about
BODYJAM 65! - Thanks Jericho!
- Afro Circus! Afro Circus! - Polka dot! Polka dot! Polka dot!
