The following video will show you how to install headlights for 2010 and up V6 and GT Mustangs.
Step 1, Jack up the front of the vehicle. Step 2, Remove both of the front wheels. Step
3, Remove the 7mm bolts holding wheel liner in fender well, 2 on each side. Step 4, remove
the plastic retainer clips holding the wheel liner in with a Philips head screw driver
and pliers, 4 on each side. Step 5, with a pair of pliers remove the plastic push in
clip. Step 6, remove the last 7mm bolt down by the chin spoiler. Step 7, front half of
wheel liner should pull out at this point, repeat steps for both sides of vehicle before
continuing on. Step 8, remove the 4 7mm bolts under the chin spoiler. Step 9, there are
8 push in retainers holding the radiator extension cover in place, remove them, and then take
off the cover. Step 10, remove the 7mm bolts above the grille, next to the head lights,
1 on each side. Step 11, pull each side of bumper to undo clips, then pull bumper up
and off of vehicle. One note, remember to unplug the side marker lights and also the
outside air temperature sensor as shown before removing bumper. Step 12, remove the push
in retainer, and the 10mm bolts, at the top of the headlight bracket. Then remove the
2 10mm bolts holding the lower headlight bracket on. You can then pull the headlight away enough
to unplug the turn signal socket and unhook the head light connector. Step 14, replace
the stock turn signal bulb with the amber turn signal bulb provided in the kit. Step
15, install a quick splice connector onto the black wire with a green tracer connected
to the turn signal socket, then, insert the black wire from the new headlight assembly,
into the quick splice connector, and crimp together. Do the same with the purple wire
on the turn signal socket, and the red wire from the new headlight assembly. Step 16,
install the turn signal socket into the new assembly, and also plug in the headlight connector.
Step 17, tuck extra wiring in, and reinstall headlight assembly. Repeat steps 12-17 for
the other side, and be sure to check all lights afterwards for proper working order, before
reinstalling the bumper to the vehicle.
