October 23. Damascus province.
A militant group counting 25 has laid down their arms and ammunition at will
and surrendered to the authorities with no strings attached
due to the latest governmental resolutions and the explanatory work carried out
as well as due to the active involvement of National Reconciliation Committee.
These Syrian citizens who have been fooled, drugged
or forced into the gangs by death threats have realized their guilt.
It is established that they have no blood on their hands.
These people will return to peaceful life and their families
upon the completion of the corresponding checks, conversations and official procedures
and upon having promised not to take arms and not to get involved in terrorist activities anymore.
Daraa.
A suspect car has been detained by the authorities
during anti-terror operations in Daraa province.
Several small arms, handguns, ammunition,
modern communications means and various military equipment
have been found in the specially equipped hideouts during the more thorough check.
The driver has been detained.
Hama.
A lengthy underground passage used by Al Nusra Front militants
has been found in an abandoned house during the check of the freed territory in Hama province.
A large stash which belonged to this terror organization has been found in a dwelling house.
A lot of small arms, a huge quantity of various ammunition
including RBR anti-tank missiles and mortar shells of Western origin,
improvised explosive devices, modern communications means
and a lot of medical equipment and medicine supplies have been extracted.
Investigation is held.
Homs.
Al-Kusur district of Homs city has been completely freed from the militants
and taken under Army's control during counter-terror operations in Homs province.
The complete check of the freed district is being performed.
Army command has now put all the forces to free Al-Karabis district
and to destroy the large Al Nusra Front militant gang that has entrenched there.
Damascus.
Commission of Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons
continues working within Syrian Arab Republic's territory.
Syrian authorities and military command provide all the assistance needed.
More than 50% of the work is completed.
All the reported places of chemical weapons production and storage are being checked.
Special attention is given to the security of the commission's members.
